I am at the Image of you Desire (original title: Je suis à l’Image de ton Désir) is the second short film I directed for the Nikon Film Festival (See I am a Dessert for my first contribution to this festival). The theme this year was « I am a gesture » and, as last year, the video couldn’t exceed 2 minutes 20. The film was produced by Disruptive Factory, a transmedia production collective.
After racking our brains with my friend Gaïl (and past about 8 hours in a Starbucks), we finally found an idea. Our film tell the story of David, a 40 years old man who try to seduce a 16 years old girl, taking the identity of Nico, his 16 years old son.
After about 15 hours of filming and 20 of editing/FX, we submitted our film that ended at the 85th place on 1056. Not bad isn’t it ?
Some months later, we decided to make a « long version » (understand 3 minutes instead of 2 minutes 20) of the film.
Enjoy the movie !
